The VP Globe Pendant by Verner Panton is a compact yet captivating expression of the designer’s futuristic vision. Designed in 1969, the pendant features a perfectly clear acrylic globe that encases a series of delicately suspended, chrome-plated aluminum reflectors. These internal discs—some accented with subtle red and blue lacquer—appear to float within the transparent sphere, diffusing light in a soft, atmospheric manner. Despite its modest scale, the 11" version maintains the full sculptural presence and spatial intrigue of the larger models, making it ideal for smaller rooms, hallways, or grouped installations.
Crafted with precision and hand-assembled in Denmark, the VP Globe blends function and art with effortless elegance. Its transparent form allows it to visually recede while still commanding attention, casting a warm, even glow that enhances its surroundings without overwhelming them. Fully UL and CE certified, this pendant is as practical as it is iconic—an enduring example of Panton’s ability to transform light into spatial experience through bold, modern design.
