Kho Liang le C684 Seat Sofa by Artifort

The Artifort C684 Sofa is a 1968 design from Kho Liang Ie.  Kho Liang Ie was a prominent Indonesian designer.  Born in Magelang, Indonesia in 1927, he emigrated to Holland in 1949. Early in his career, he handled larger contract projects such as the Holland Travel Office in New York and the Schiphol Airport in Amsterdam. His work with Artifort started in the mid-1960s.

This particular item is considered to have restrained simplicity. The Artifort C683 Sofa has a channeled upholstery, whereas the Artifort C684 has a tufted upholstery.

Made in Holland by Artifort.
