Guelfo Ottoman by Opinion Ciatti

The Guelfo Ottoman by Opinion Ciatti, designed by Lapo Ciatti in 2015, is a contemporary reinterpretation of the classic 18th-century ottoman for their Guelfo wingback chair. Drawing inspiration from medieval Florence, its name pays homage to the Guelfs, one of the city's historic factions. This piece masterfully blends traditional elements, such as the elaborate capitonné quilting, resulting in a design that is both timeless and avant-garde.

In 2018, the collection expanded to include the Guelfo Fur, featuring a soft white faux fur upholstery, adding a playful and luxurious touch to the line. Whether in its classic leather finish or the whimsical faux fur variant, the Guelfo Ottoman stands out as a statement piece that combines historical references with modern design sensibilities. Its unique blend of materials and styles makes it an ideal choice for both exclusive contract environments and refined residential spaces.
