Fortuny Desk Lamp

The Mariano Fortuny Table Lamp is an iconic piece of modern design. It was originally developed around 1903 by the Spanish artist and inventor Mariano Fortuny for indirect stage lighting.

The lamp features a sweeping black metal arch and a base inspired by a camera tripod. The unique shade design reverses traditional lampshades to create an instrument for reflected, diffused light. The shades are typically chrome-plated or enameled aluminum with a white interior.

Made in Italy.
