Fl@t Soft Upholstered Chair 9W3.01 by Tonon

The Fl@t Soft Upholstered Chair 9W3.01 by Tonon was designed by Martin Ballendat as a softer interpretation of the distinctive Fl@t concept. Its flexible shell is first padded and upholstered while flat, then bent into its final curved profile and secured to a light metal structure. The soft version adds more generous upholstery and subtle folds, highlighting the chair's craftsmanship.

This metal-base 9W3.01 model combines the rounded shell with a matte black lacquered support for a clean, contemporary contrast. Fabric or leather upholstery brings warmth to the open frame, making the chair suitable for dining rooms, restaurants, and modern conference settings. Unlike conventional molded-seat chairs, Fl@t retains the visual impression of a shaped upholstered panel, with details that remain interesting from the rear and side.
