C 1920 Bentwood Armchair with Plywood Seat by GTV

The C 1920 Bentwood Armchair by Gebrüder Thonet Vienna is a contemporary interpretation of the classic bentwood tradition, introduced in 2026. Its distinctive silhouette brings together softly curved beechwood and crisp, architectural lines, creating a chair that feels both familiar and refreshingly modern. The continuous sweep of the armrests and the gently shaped backrest gives the C 1920 its recognizable profile, while the plywood seat provides a clean, understated finish. Subtle angles in the legs and the careful balance of solid and open space lend the design an elegant, sculptural quality without sacrificing its practical character. Whether placed around a dining table, used as a desk chair, or selected for a thoughtfully furnished hospitality interior, the C 1920 offers a versatile seating solution with a strong design identity. Available in a selection of natural and stained beechwood finishes or black lacquer, it reflects GTV's long-standing expertise in bentwood craftsmanship.
