C 1879 Outdoor Lounge Chair by GTV

The C 1879 Outdoor Lounge Chair by Gebrüder Thonet Vienna was introduced in 2026, bringing a contemporary architectural character to outdoor seating. Its distinctive design combines a slender steel frame with warm iroko wood and a woven rope seat and backrest, creating an appealing contrast between strong geometric lines and natural materials. The open construction gives the chair a light, airy appearance, while its angled backrest and low, relaxed seating position offer an inviting place to unwind. The woven rope adds texture and visual depth without detracting from the chair's clean silhouette. Equally at home on a private terrace, in a landscaped courtyard, or in a refined hospitality setting, the C 1879 makes a statement through its thoughtful proportions and understated use of materials. It is a contemporary expression of the craftsmanship and design tradition associated with GTV.
