The Le Corbusier Chaise Lounge (LC4) is the best known and most successful of his designs that first exhibited at the Salon D' Automne in 1929. The Le Corbusier Chaise Lounge or "Longue" (LC4) was designed in 1928 for the furnishing of a villa in the Ville d' Avray, and utilizes exposed structural elements with padded leather cushion and headrest.
The LC4 Chaise Lounge has an infinite number of seating positions as top frame is not attached to the base. Therefore a comfortable seating position for reading may be attained, or lower the chaise for nap the way Le Corbusier enjoyed.
Le Corbusier is considered to be one of the most influential architects of the 20th century. He was a pioneer in the use of steel and concrete creating stark and rectilinear structures throughout the world. For this he gained much notoriety and criticism. The International Style that he influenced continues to be popular as witnesses in the continued fame of the LC4 Chaise.

Standard Black leather and pony hide are in-stock. Other grades and colored leathers are factory direct. Customers may specify the chromed element of the chaise in matte or glossy black by request.
