The Breuer Folding Armchair (B4) was first presented to the public in 1927 at the Weissenhof Housing Exhibition, in a house designed by Gropius. Soon after the exhibit Standard-Mobel, Lengyel & Company put the B4 Folding Chair chair into production. The B4 Folding Chair was in production until Thonet took over the manufacturing of Breuer furniture.
The Breuer Folding armchair captures the same essence that his famous Wassily chair embodies. Its geometric form brings a simple elegance to a room, while his combination of tubular steel and canvas upholstery defines Bauhaus.
