Martin Visser SZ 02 Easy Chair by Spectrum Design

The SZ 02 Armchair was designed in 1960 by Martin Visser. The pure material, the clear construction, and minimalist design language are typical of Visser's work. The armchair has a slim tubular steel frame, in matte chrome or powder-coated black, and a saddle leather cover. 

The strong saddle leather requires craftsmanship in processing and has the natural property to stretch through use. That is why the cover on the underside of the seat is provided with a leather lace with which the seat can be tensioned again. At the back of the backrest, the same is made possible by a buckle, a functional detail that makes this timeless armchair so special!

The SZ 02 is available in three colors of leather: natural, dark brown and black. Saddle leather is a natural product and discolors through use and under the influence of light. The latter is especially applicable to natural saddle leather and provides a characteristic and lively image.
