The Stefan Wewerka Single Tube Cantilever Chair is perhaps his most famous chair design.  Designed in 1982, it was likely to have been inspired by Silvio Coppola's Gru chair from the 1970s.  

Stefan Wewerka is a German architect and furniture designer. Born in 1928, Wewerka studied architecture in Berlin after the Second World War. In 1979, he began collaborating with the German company TECTA on furniture design. His primary works have been unique chairs in which the visual arts and design connect in unique ways. Stefan Wewerka currently lives in Cologne and Berlin.

Materials: Cantilever chair made from a single piece of tubular chromed steel. Upholstered seat and back.
