Otto Wagner Postsparkasse Bentwood Bookcase by GTV

Otto Wagner Postsparkasse Bentwood Bookcase by GTV

The “Postsparkasse” bentwood furniture series was designed in 1906 by Otto Wagner for the headquarters of the Post Office Savings Bank in Vienna, and represents a clear expression of modern Viennese art. The solid bent beech wood Postsparkasse Bookcase (Beucherregal) structure is both embracing and ergonomic. This item introduces a new concept to the “Postsparkasse” series: the use of wood with a square, not round cross-section, to create a more rigorous design. The complete range comprises an armchair, side chair and stool.

Made in Austria by GTV.

Dimensions: H 54 1/4"  D 14 1/2"  W 50"

Materials: Bentwood bookcase.  Beechwood frame with natural, stained or lacquered finish.   Aluminum embellishment.
