The A16 bentwood chair was designed by one of Michael Thonet's sons, August Thonet, in the 1800s. The A16 bentwood chair remains a popular item due to is light, but strong characteristics.
Using a round seat finished with a wood veneer or woven cane, it is easy to see how the A16 bentwood chair is a slight deviation from the hugely popular A14 bentwood chair. The rounded bentwood insert in the back takes its character from the popular A4 bentwood chair, or Cafe Daum bentwood chair.
The A16 bentwood chair is available in a wide variety of stains and lacquers allowing you to customize its appearance. It is an ideal bentwood chair for dining, breakfast areas, or even as an accent to a classic interior.
