Eero Saarinen Table - 36" Round Tulip Dining Table

Designed by Eero Saarinen, the Saarinen pedestal table has been a staple of contemporary design for over 50 years as part of a larger group of pieces commonly referred to as the pedestal or tulip group. (Comprised of many different round and oval tables, side chairs, armchairs, and a stool.) Saarinen experimented widely with these bases in different finishes, and combining them with different tops. Although a white marble on a glossy white base is the standard du jour, Saarinen used the matte finish and many other finishes and stone for his tables.

This 36" diameter pedestal table has a lacquered cast aluminum base in white or black and stands 28 1/4" in height. The base is treated with a clear protective finish to resist scratches, stains and scuffs. Marble tops are protected with a wax finish. It is available in white carrara or black marquina marble, or white or black laminate. The 36" Saarinen table is dining table height. Great for smaller kitchens or dining rooms, it accommodates 3 to 4 people.
