Eero Saarinen Table - 32" Round Tulip Table

The 32" Saarinen Table was designed in 1956 as part of a larger collection of contemporary furniture items. It was designed by the legendary Eero Saarinen during his tenure at Eero Saarinen and Associates, the architectural firm he ran from 1950 to 1961. During his life, Eero Saarinen was responsible for many other pieces still popular today, including the tulip chair and tulip armchair.

Though his collaboration with designers like Charles Eames and Florence Knoll produced various modern furniture classics, many remember Eero Saarinen more for his contributions to contemporary architecture. Iconic buildings such as the TWA Flight Center at JFK Airport in New York, and the Gateway Arch in St. Louis demonstrate Saarinen's ability to construct organic and abstract forms in a way that had never been done before.

This 32" diameter marble side pedestal table has a lacquered cast aluminum base in white or black and stands 28 1/4" in height. The base is treated with a clear protective finish to resist scratches, stains and scuffs. Marble tops are protected with a wax finish.
