Carl Aubock Umbrella Stand
Designed by Carl Aubock in 1948, this unique umbrella stand has a base in metal fusion, lacquered with black epoxy varnish. The frame is in polished and chromed drawn tubular wire. Aubock, a Viennese designer, worked in the Wiener Werkstätte, as well as the Bauhaus, before taking over his family business in 1925. He's most known for small pieces like this -- decorative but functional items for use every day in the home.
Made in Italy.
