The Thonet A 6010 Bentwood Chair is an unique Thonet design not frequently seen.  From pictures, it has the appearance of an aluminum or steel chair, yet this chair is constructed with a wooden frame, seat and back.  With 12 holes in its back, the design allows light and background color to be seen.  It is perhaps one of the most contemporary of the classic Thonet designs.

Michael Thonet revolutionized the manufacturing of furniture with his manufacturing technique.  This chair was made by hand at one of the original Thonet factories located in Eastern Europe.
