Marcel Breuer designed this Cesca table in 1928 and it was added to the Standard-Mobel/Thonet catalogue with the code B14.  The Cesca table was used quite frequently in Breuer's projects including Boroschek's Apartment as well as Harnischmacher's house. In this case, however, it can be seen how mass-production had required some simplifications, such as the joint of the corner, to the great disadvantage of the only formally relevant element, mainly the correspondence between the collar joint of the leg and the top. The Cesca table was distributed in Switzerland and appeared together with "Ceska" chairs in many showroom displays. This new edition is the only one currently in production.
