Le Corbusier's Petite Lounge Chair (LC2) is a smaller version of the famous Grand Confort Lounge Chair (LC3) design from 1929. Borne Charles Edouard Jeanneret, he is undoubtedly considered to be the most important Modernist chair designer in France. A spirited advocate of Modernism, Le Corbusier created a range of chairs that express his ideals with great sophistication.

Mrs. Heidi Weber of Zurich first put the Le Corbusier collection into production in 1959. With his the approval, she changed the appearance of the Petite Lounge Chair (LC2). She removed the spring mechanism and used fabricating methods, which allowed the frame to be chromed. She also gave the cushions a more formal & tailored look. Her contribution to the re-design of the collection was instrumental in the commercial success of the Le Corbusier Petite Lounge Chair (LC2), and the entire collection.
