Description :

This low version of the Ingram Chair was the basic chair used in the White Dining Room and in the Cloister Room of the Ingram Street Tearooms, Glasgow. A number of examples survive in museum collections.

Designed by Charles Rennie Mackintosh in 1900, the Ingram Tea Room became one of the most popular Tea Rooms in Glasgow.  Though Mackintosh started his work on the Igram Tea Rooms in 1900, it was not until 1912 that he finished the unique interior.  Though such items as the Ingram Chair no longer exist at the original location, many of the items now reside with the Glasgow Museums.  A team at the Museum is now attempting to research and preserve other works from Charles Rennie Mackintosh.

The Charles Rennie Mackintosh Lowback Ingram Chair is constructed of ashwood with a black stained finish. The seat cushion is available in leather or a variety of fabric.

Made In Italy.

Dimensions: H 41 3/4" x D 17 3/4" x W 18 1/2"; SH 17"
